The unfurling of the IBA flag took place on Saturday, 11th April, and marks the start of the 2026 bowling season.
Henry McFarland ( 2024 IBA President) handed the flag over to this year’s President Tommy Cheevers of the Donaghadee Bowling Club. The Mayor of Ards and North Down Borough Council, Gillian McCollum, delivered the first bowl, and a game between a President’s team and Donaghadee BC followed.
