The B.E.T.S. bowlers from Ward Park, Bangor secured the Irish Junior Cup title at a sunny Ards BC, with a 86 to 76 shots win over Downpatrick.

B.E.T.S. made the slightly steadier start leading by 5 after 5. Downpatrick then edged in front at the 10 ends point by the narrow margin of 2, increasing their lead to 9 approaching 15 ends. At this stage the B.E.T.S. players responded and turned the deficit into a 14 shot victory.

Congratulations to B.E.T.S. and commiserations to Downpatrick and very well done to both sides in providing an excellent contest for their supporters.
