DAY 1

Ireland began their International Series campaign with two sessions today at Leamington Spa.

The men started their campaign with pairs and triples against an English team full of star names in the world of bowls. However, they took the game to their opponents from end one and completed a comprehensive victory by 11 shots to secure 21 of the 24 points available. They followed this up with a 24-shot win against the previously unbeaten Welsh side in the singles and fours disciplines.
