Medal glory for Ireland at European Championships

Ireland secured two golds and one silver this afternoon at the European Championships. The golds came in the Ladies Triples (Ashleigh Rainey, Lara Reaney & Chloe Wilson) who defeated a strong English trio skipped by Lorraine Kuhler and in the Men’s Triples (Aaron Tennant, Gary Kelly & Mark Wilson) who defeated The Scotland Triples skipped by Conor Milne 19-12. There was agony for the ladies pairs (Sarah Kelly & Shauna O’Neill) who lost a pulsating game in a tie end to Steph Branfield of England. Stuart Bennett and Stephen Kirkwood lost their Bronze Medal match against Scotland. The team moves on to the singles and Fours disciplines tomorrow
