The Irish Bowling Association are pleased to announce the appointment of Tommy Smith as IBA Assistant Team Manager.

Tommy is well know in Irish Bowls having played at Inter-Association level for the NIPBA and also in British Isles Championships. Currently also Honorary Secretary for the NIPBA and a member of the IBA management committee.

Tommy will work in partnership with Ireland Team Manager Neil Booth in the future development of Irish Bowls at the highest levels of competition.

Neil Booth commented:

‘I am looking forward to working with Tommy over the coming months and years. Tommy brings a vast amount of experience to the role and I look forward to his input as we strive towards improving the game at international level. Tommy will be working alongside me at all the various levels U-18, U-25, Senior and Elite levels and I wish him every success in his new post.’
