Neil Mulholland announces retirement from Elite Bowls
Neil ‘The Hulk’ Mulholland has announced his retirement from Elite Level Bowls. He will continue to make himself available for the International Team.
Neil has had a fantastic career at the Top Level and is the only player in Irish Bowls to have won a medal at Commonwealth Games, World Bowls, Atlantic Rim, and Champion of Champion Singles. His medal to games ratio stands comparison with anyone in the game and his steely determination on the green will be missed. Neil was an extremely popular member of the Squad and is highly regarded across World Bowls.
Neil’s career highlight was winning the World Champion of Champions Singles title, the first and only Irishman to do so. He also lost out narrowly on a Gold Medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games coming away with a Silver Medal.
Myself, the Selectors, and all the Squad Players that have played with you would like to thank you for the huge contribution you have made to Irish Bowls on the green and wish you good luck in the future.
Well done
Neil Booth
High-Performance Coach
