It is with deep sadness we have to report the passing of Ciaran Ryan who died suddenly on his way home from a bowling match yesterday.

Ciaran was President of the Irish Bowling Association (IBA) in 2012 and President of his own association, the Bowling League of Ireland in 2006 and 2019. He was widely respected for his knowledge, wisdom and keen wit and will be sorely missed by all his Blackrock BC clubmates and many friends across Irish bowls.

The sincere sympathy of the President and officers of the IBA are extended to his wife Deirdre and family members at this sad time. You will be missed.
