What a week in Jersey as Ireland picked not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 medals.

Mark Wilson and Andy Kyle just missed out on Gold on shot difference and picked up the Silver medal in the Men’s Pairs.

Megan Wilson and Catherine Beattie also just missed out on Gold on shot difference and picked up the Silver in the Ladies Pairs.

All four then combined in the mixed pairs and landed another Silver medal.

The icing on the cake was that the Ireland team picked up Gold for the overall team performance.

This year the President of the European Bowls Union is Brian Morton from Dublin, and he said it was only fitting that Ireland should win, as he is the first President from Ireland to hold the position.
